Drop-by Franklin Park Zoo for their Jack-O-Lantern Journey to see more than 5,000 pumpkins carved into intricate designs, including animals, dinosaurs, princesses, and flowers. The half-mile tree-lined walk ends with pumpkin carving demonstrations and seasonal food and beverages.

Salem's Haunted Happenings fall celebration is filled with face painting, ghost tours, parades, and live music. Family-friendly movies are screened outdoors over Friday night on Salem Common. Just 16 miles north of Boston, Salem is easily accessible from the MBTA commuter rail, so you can leave your car or broomstick behind.
