Equifax Cybersecurity Incident

Equifax, one of the three major consumer credit reporting agencies, has revealed that a huge security breach has exposed sensitive information on up to 143 million Americans. The hackers gained entrance to the company's data from May until July of this year, and were able to retrieve Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers and credit card numbers, among other data. The attack on the company represents one of the largest risks to personally sensitive information in recent years.
