HUECU’s Fall Town Hall was virtually held on Friday, November 5th, with President and CEO Craig Leonard, who covered everything from HUECU’s November Matching Miracles initiative, where the Credit Union will be matching donations to our local Children’s Miracle Network hospital, Boston Children’s, to questions about loan services, credit card rewards, and membership benefits! Craig kicked off the event by taking a question about low interest loan programs. “Life throws us all curveballs, and so if there is any member going through a challenging time and they have a loan with us, I’d recommend that you reach out to our loan department. We’re here to help; we take great pride in looking at every situation as its own and trying to help that member get back on their feet,” answered Craig. “If we have to look at modifications to help with your repayment, then we certainly will do that. That’s what we’re all about.”
Craig also answered a question about rewards-based credit cards, highlighting HUECU’s recent launch of Rewards Plus accounts, offering 1.5 points on everything (as an added bonus, points don’t expire) and 0% APR within the first year. Craig also spoke on the Credit Union’s plans for new loan products, and HUECU’s expanded mortgage program which now services all of New England.
Craig finished the town hall with updates on branch hours and availability for specific locations, a note on the possibility of offering investment services in the future, and his thoughts on membership growth.
