The Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce honored Partners HealthCare System’s Chief Diversity Officer Dani Monroe with a Pinnacle Award for Achievement in Professions.
Attending in-person from HUECU were Board Directors April Edrington and Ann Dexter, and Community Affairs Specialist Laura Buso.
Dee Dee Chen, HUECU Board Director and Director of Professional Staff Compensation and Benefits at Partners, took a moment to reflect on how the workplace environment has changed at New England’s largest health care organization and private employer. “Dani Monroe arrived at Partners 3 years ago with a wealth of experience, eager to not only share her knowledge but also listen to each of our unique stories of hardship and growth. Since then, she has helped us elevate the prominence of diversity and inclusion and created opportunities for open dialogue amongst our workforce.” She continued, “Congratulations to Dani – the Pinnacle Award is well deserved, we’re so fortunate to have you as a part of our team!”
Arturo Rosado-Martir, who leads the HUECU branch inside the Partners’ offices at Assembly Row Campus, agreed that this milestone was worth celebrating, saying, “Dani’s resolute and unyielding commitment to diversity and inclusion reminds us of all we are, and all we can be when we celebrate one another.”
The sentiment was echoed by April Edrington, who remarked, “Dani is a beacon to organizations like HUECU, as we strive to implement innovative diversity and inclusion strategies. As a not-for-profit financial institution, HUECU is proud to serve Partners HealthCare System and all Harvard teaching hospitals, and we are thrilled to share in honoring Dani Monroe as the recipient of the Pinnacle Award for Achievement in Professions.”
Dani, from all of us at HUECU, congratulations on this well-deserved recognition!
